This was too funny not to share.
I was just reminiscing my Europe backpacking trip earlier this year and here’s something that made me laugh out loud every time I think about it.
*1 week prior to flying off*
Me: I AM GOING TO BACKPACK! We need backpacks! Do you know where to get one?
My Travel Partner, Duckie: Those travel accessories shop prolly. But I am not bringing a backpack.
Me: But WHY!? We are going to BACKPACK!
Duckie: You better not bring a backpack too. I don’t want to end up carrying your bag.
Me: What are you bringing then?
Duckie: A trolley bag.
Me: LOL You’re kidding!!
Duckie: Serious.
Me: Ok. You can roll your trolley bag all around Europe and people are going to laugh at you!! :P :P
*At Rome Airport*
Me: OMG We’re HERE! I hope my backpack is not lost. I will cry if they lose it! Everything is in there!!
Duckie: It won’t be lost one lah!
Me: Oh oh there it is!
*tugs at the bag and plonks onto the floor. I then try to carry it*
Me: O.O omg. It’s heavy!
Duckie: *rolls eyes and gives me a “I told you so face” Let’s see how you survive!
Me: Eh how? It’s so heavy…. *whines* All your stupid camera tripod’s fault! Make my bag so heavy!
Duckie: Told you not to bring a backpack and you said you didn’t need me to carry for you…
Me: Ya so you don’t need to. I’ll just walk like an inverted L and go round Europe with the stupid backpack on top of me.
Duckie: LOL *snigger snigger and wheels his stupid backpack along happily*
Me: *groans*
Duckie: *bursts out loud laughing* OK LAH COME LAH I CARRY FOR YOU LAH
Me: *grins secretly* No need. I can do it myself! *experiments dragging the bag instead*
Duckie: Really no need?
Me: Erm, okay let me try carrying it awhile first. It’s my dream!
Duckie: *sniggers at my inverted L walking shape*
*5 days into our adventure*
Me: *drags trolley alongside Duckie merrily & looking at him with MUCH pride* Hey, you’re living my dream!
Duckie: *sneers* YA RIGHT! TOLD YOU NOT TO BRING THE STUPID BACKPACK!! I KNEW I HAD TO END UP CARRYING IT!
Me: *smiles brightly* And you do so, so well! Now you can go back to SG and tell people you went backpacking! :D :D

It must’ve been the weight from the backpack that forced the blood pressure into duckie’s eyes la..until he needs those pinhole glasses!
