The White Tigers – Pride and Joy of Singapore Zoo!

Did you guys hear about this?

So sad right that the guy died this way. What a horrible way to die. Sigh.

Got to say though, I felt ashamed that I raised my eyebrows when I read that they had licensed rifle shooters called on scene (though they were too late to do anything). There were going to kill the Tigers to protect the victim! I know a man’s safety is of utmost importance but these tigers are the pride and joy of the Singapore Zoo leh!

I suppose it didn’t occur to me that probably one of the mandatory safety measures within the zoo is to put humans first.

Sorry, sometimes the mind jumps to stupid conclusions like guy jumps in, zookeepers do everything they can but keep out of the cage… hey wait! What happened to guns with sedatory liquid as the bullet?? Shoot at the animals to get them into a sleep in the event of an emergency mah!

Poor tigers. I do think that it’s a real pity that the guy should have died this way (whether it’s his choice or not) but how could the tigers be blamed? They are afterall carnivores and they are born with instincts to hunt.

I hope by saying that they are now under “confinement” doesn’t mean anything bad.

Despite being dangerous, the white tigers are very pretty. Endangered too aren’t they?
