It’s my favourite time of the year soon – October!! And along in October comes a festival all beer lovers look forward to – Oktoberfest!
Starting late September through to early October, you’ll be spoiled for choices on just where to best enjoy the merry fest with yummy german food and good ol’ beer with friends.
Here’s a place you can consider when the time comes! Bar 75 at Crowne Plaza (next to Terminal 3):
Their special menu this Oktoberfest is pretty yums with the traditional German cuisine with a hint of contemporary flair. It’s what they call the Bavarian inspired bar grub!
The Cripsy Pork Knuckle with Sauerkrauts (S$26.00++), a MUST HAVE at every Oktoberfest. This dish is cooked to perfection with cripsy skin and a very soft, tender inside. I really enjoyed this dish with a dash of mustard.
Sausages sausages and more sausages! Good thing I love sausages! Their special Oktoberfest menu features crowd favourites like Bangers & Mash (S$22.00++). This is my favourite dish of the night. The sausage was perfection!! You could also try the Trilogy of “Wurst” Platter (S$28.00++) which serves up 3 types of sausages: Spicy, smoked and Herbs “wursts”. The Sauerkrauts on the side was yums.
Another crowd favourite is the Wagyu Beef Burgers (S$28.00++) served in mini sizes which makes it easy to eat. The Bacon & Beef Roulade (S$24.00++) is quite something to behold. It’s kinda like a wrap of consisting of pork bacon and thin beef slices. The bacon made this dish a tad salty but I think there are many who would love this dish.
MUST-TRY: Bangers & Mash and the Crispy Pork Knuckle! :)
And no Oktoberfest is complete without lots and lots of beer. At Bar 75, enjoy FREE FLOW of draft Tiger beer from 10pm to 12am for just S$25.00++. Omg what a steal! :D
