Hanging out at Arteastiq @ Plaza Singapura

I’ve never really been fond of art (cos I am really not good at it) but come mon, who doesn’t love having an empty canvas to destroy go all creative on?! We recently went to Arteastiq @ Plaza Singapura for tea and a great art jamming session.

This is not my first art jam but it will definitely not be my last. After having done art jamming at several places for quite a few times this year alone, I have decided I love watercolour painting. While I may not have the creativity or skills to create an original YET, I definitely am enjoying myself, practicing on imitations of whatever I find online!

Since it’s opening in 2010, Arteastiq has won over taste buds and tea fanatics island wide, being the first to provide a luxurious and elaborate tea experience together with social art jamming.

Today, 5 years down the road, Arteastiq, our homegrown boutique tea house and social painting studio has opened a new outlet at Plaza Singapura!

This definitely meets the growing demand for unique, organic and creative hangout spaces in Singapore. Recently during their media launch, the husband and I went on down for some social painting and tea.

Check out the lovely new outlet. It is like a private sanctuary, away from the hustle and bustle of Orchard.

Adjacent to it’s dining area is the studio where art jamming sessions are held. They will provide you with a canvas, brushes and a lot of colours for you to unleash your creativity.

Here’s our art after 1 hour.

And here’s me with mine after 1.5 hours! :) I declared it done! Happily brought it home and trying to decide where to display it now. I loved the pomela tea and the lychee tea that they served throughout the event. I kept going back for more. It was so refreshing!

This is a bad imitation of Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Starry Night.

When it comes to the food and beverages, they have placed utmost importance on it’s quality. Each tea and food recipe has undergone stringent research and development to perfect it’s taste. All of this, just to deliver the signature Arteastiq experience at the new boutique.

They have a new food menu which I’m looking forward to check out soon. It is the collaborative result of 3 chefs who have been travelling round the world, garnering the best recipes.

We treated to some samples, which were really yummy. I love the fusion from different cultures in their food. For example, we tried this soba salad which was a great combination of soba noodles, smoked salmon, greens and cherry tomatoes along with a light asian vinaigrette. So refreshing!
