Dinner @ Indulgz

I’ve been to Indulgz quite many times. It’s my favourite place to go to for no-fuss mid-range food for simple celebrations. =)

This is what a friend and I had yesterday.

The (in?)famous Fried Camembert Cheese with Berry Sauce. Well, I have never tried this before and I did hear a lot of good feedback about and I decided to give it a chance. $12 for 4 pieces – quite expensive!

What I think? It’s salty, the crust is tasteless and the Berry Sauce (which I hoped would make the dish not so cheesy) did nothing to enchance this dish. The berry sauce alone was okay though.

This is my favourite! I almost always order this when I am at Indulgz. I was actually quite tempted to order their new pasta dishes which looked SO DAMN GOOD on the menu – but I’m still on the damn no-carbo/less-carbo diet so I resisted.

The Butterfish as usual never did disappoint. This fish has to be super duper fresh in order for it to taste nice and because of the texture of the fish, it’s also very difficult to make it tasty. This dish didn’t disappoint on all fronts. =) It was very filling too! $22.90.

My friend had this. Eek – all carbs! But it really looked DAMN nice when it was in front of me! Triple cheese leh! Yummy lor! After the salty cheese appetizer, I hope this would be good! I picked cheese off my friend’s “claypot” making his dish look like a minefield. $17.80.

It was yummy!! But I had to concentrate on my fish and forget about carbs. Oh the agony!

I am happy with my dish!! (See I left the mashed potatoes alone!)

And the bill came up to $57.86.

I was so tempted to order the very reasonably priced chocolate fondue but in reality I was really quite full already. That made me realise that all this while, I ate because I was there (so why not) and not because I was really hungry. Nvm, I’m a new Me now. =)

Can’t wait to get off this diet for a break and then go enjoy a chocolate fondue! :D
