Day #2 at Halong Bay/Hanoi, Part 2

We were at Halong Bay at my last post. This is part 2. :) The Amazing Cave is not amazing at all. My goodness. It was such a waste of time. I could have been swimming or kayaking or something more fun than going through the crowded paths within the cave with only the eerily lit walls as a view. Boring. After the boring hour at the not-so-amazing cave, we set sail again for Titop Island nearby. Duc (guide) said…

Day #2 at Halong Bay/Hanoi, Part 1

It is interesting that the houses and shops at Hanoi are built so closely to each other and so narrowly. I wonder how they can feel comfortable! I mean, I am used to having a lot of horizontal space but vertical? We were constantly afraid of eating dog meat or the likes of pig brains and stuck firmly to those we could identify. Anything suspicious is a big NO NO. God I saw 4 or 5 slimey brain matter (I…

Day #1 in Hanoi

Hello guys, I am back from my trip! I can’t wait to share about my trip but first I need rest. I arrived back in Singapore at 2am on Monday and had to work at 9am. I still need more sleep to recover! :/ Anyway, here’s a little entry about my short day #1 in Hanoi. I hate Tiger Airways. Recommended Itinerary for Hanoi!!!!!!!

Ahoy! Hanoi! I am coming! 01 March to 08 March 2009 – 8D7N It was initially a customised (by me) private group tour but after my dear friends (you know who you are!!) all put me aeroplane leaving me with less than ideal number of people travelling together, it is going to be a free & easy tour. Hanoi, Vietnam’s most interesting city, has a grand total of like 1 million and counting number of travel agents along with their…
