Wyndham Sea Pearl Phuket Is Beautiful And Great For Families

Wyndham Sea Pearl Phuket is a beautiful resort to stay in at Phuket. I recently went with my family (husband, and 2 kids aged 5 and 2) to Phuket and our stay at Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort was absolutely comfortable. If you’re looking for family friendly hotels at Phuket, read our holiday experience as a family with young kids here.

When we entered the resort, the first thing that hit us was how beautiful and huge it was. There are plenty of lush greenery around and Instagram-able swimming pools that you want to dip in at every corner that you turn to.

Our One Bedroom Deluxe Suite with Pool Access

From the service, to the room and right down to the facilities… we loved how comfortable the resort was in every way. Check out the rooms. We stayed in a One Bedroom Deluxe Suite with Pool Access room. It was a great choice. The kids could just go from room to pool effortlessly.

Families with young children should definitely choose this option. Just make sure to close the doors to keep the kids in till you’re ready to supervise them in the pool. What made the pool access room at Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort unique was how huge the pool was and that it was only shared by 4 villas. We had the whole pool to ourselves most of the times. It offers great privacy and lots of space for families with young children.

We added in another bed for our 5 yr old. It fit really well beside the double bed with lots of space for everyone to move around in the bedroom.

Activities For The Whole Family

When we travel with the kids, we have come to learn that our itinerary must be flexible. We usually only have 1 key activity and the rest will very much be dependent on the weather, on how moody they are and so on.

That’s why I was interested to know what else we could do at the resort in the event we couldn’t go out. On one of the days, the kids were way too tired from the full day island hopping tour so we had to take the next day slow for them to recover.

We stayed in the resort the whole day but we were never bored. We went for Thai kick boxing classes, yoga classes, and even a Thai cooking class! There were more that we didn’t have enough time to check out. Don’t worry about these classes being too hard core… the classes are chillax and kids are welcomed to join.

The Thai cooking class was particularly fun. Taking cooking classes with the resort’s local chef let us appreciate Thai food from a different perspective and it also gave us an opportunity to bond as a family.

We each took turns watching the other learn how to make an authentic《tom yum goong》 and《kluay buat chee》which is a Thai dessert that has bananas sweetened in coconut milk. The kids joined us too and they had fun giggling at Daddy and stealing food. Can’t believe how easy it is to make these dishes!

Meals Around The Hotel

There are 2 restaurants around the resort and we tried both of them.

Buffet breakfast was at Mook Talay Restaurant where there were freshly baked bread, spreads and cereals, western breakfast selections and local thai dishes. The kids loved the daily bottles of yakult that’s also available at the buffet.

We also had a BBQ buffet night at Alfa Club and Restaurant. They have indoor and outing seating and because it’s right at the top of a hill, you get a wonderful view of the sunset and hustle and bustle of the Patong skyline.

Other Things We Loved

LOCATION – This resort is located about 10mins drive away from Jungceylon and Wyndham Sea Pearl Phuket provides hourly shuttle buses to and fro. We didn’t want to stay in the midst of Patong because of the crowd and noise. Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort’s location was perfect.

KIDS CLUB – The Kids Club is air conditioned and located at the clubhouse. It was loaded with toys, books and videos for the kids. There wasn’t any staff on duty so you really have the whole place to yourself. I only wish they padded the sharp corners in the room better to make it safer for the kids. There’s baby sitting services too, just book in advance before you arrive.

SPA – Carissa Spa is located within the resort and although we didn’t get the chance to try it out, it was maximum convenience to have a spa within the resort. The prices were reasonable and we really wanted to try it out.

POOL BAR – They also have a pool bar where you can enjoy an array of cocktails and watch sporting events on TV if you wish to.

It was a really tiring trip but one that has filled our hearts full of love. It was a great experience for all of us. We were well taken care of and our stay was enjoyable and comfortable for all of us. My kids are still talking about the hotel weeks after we’ve left Phuket!

I’d definitely recommend you check them out the next time you go to Phuket :)
