What great ideas Ikea has!

Today I woke up all bright and happy, eager to be on my little adventure to Ikea. I love Ikea. Although I own no house in Singapore to decorate, and have no furniture I have to buy, I still love going to Ikea.

Ikea always makes me want to get my own place asap! I already have it all envisioned – red and white. Or red and black. Yes. That’s the theme colours for my future home.

Coming to the main point of this blog post, check this out.

It’s a super great idea for a dining table. Combining form and function, the chairs slide in perfectly under the dining table. It’s in a shape not commonly one shared by other dining tables. Here’s a closer look.

It costs SGD475. So expensive hor… It looks like it belongs in a studio apartment of a couple of young urbanites who often invite other “couple” friends over for dinner and wine. They will share lovely conversations over a home-cooked meal by the hostess. Western cuisine. Definitely. Salmon for the ladies and steak for the gentlemen. Soft music plays in the background.

Whoops, I let my imagination run a bit there. I definitely would like something like that table! It’s probably very impractical for me since my dinner is always consumed from 3 or 4 different plates and the table wouldn’t be big enough to hold all the plates! Chinese food la, what to do. But those of you whose lifestyle suits something like this, go get it! It’s really pretty!

Ikea at Tampiness is really huge. Look at this!

I couldn’t help but take a picture of this! This is like the many many photos you’ll find on stock image libraries like Getty Images, istockphoto, inmagine and so on. Just search for “warehouse” or “inventory management”. Confirm plus guarantee chop you will get something like this in your results.

I never thought I would be in a place like that in my life! Haha!

Anyway, what I did buy in the end was just this pink tub that my friend Ducky had fun with.

-_-“

It’s actually a very ingenious “drawer” for this!

This is a cupboard which I bought from Ikea a year ago. And I am still so in love with it. It’s this ingenious cupboard that lets you choose cupboards of your own preferred size, and colour. There’s even the usual shelf (just pieces of board which you can use as dividers between the top and lower shelf) boards that you can choose if you don’t want drawers.

It’s perfect for my problem – housing all my hamsters into my very small room, in the most compact way possible without comprising on their comforts! See!

Say hi to Momo, my molted hamster. She’s looking happy in her wheel. =)
