Toning My Arms: Part 2 of 3

Have you read about my race to tone my arms before I get married by going for the Exilis Elite Body Treatment at Prive Clinic? Here’s an update on how that’s going for me.

I am quite convinced Exilis Elite Body Treatment is perfect to help me meet my goals. See, exercise burns fat, gradually. Bad diet habits add fat, gradually. What I needed was an immediate way to burn the fat off ASAP and tighten the skin where the fat used to be. And Exilis Elite Body Treatment does all that!

When I visited Prive Clinic a couple of months ago, I was interested to enquire about their arm treatment. But when they heard that I was a bride-to-be, they also shared with me their “I Do” promotion bridal package!

I wished I had known about this earlier! But I found out too late. :( $2K for all that is super reasonable! Anyhooo, if you are interested you can call them to enquire about it! Prive Clinic designed the Bridal “I Do” package for those who want to look flawless and radiant on their wedding day. It is best advised to commence beauty regimes long before the wedding at least 3-6 months in advance.

I had only 1 goal and it was to fix my arms.

I had some questions which I asked the nurse about the Exilis Elite Body Treatment before proceeding and here’s sharing them with you:

1) Is it… SAFE? 

This has been tested in clinical studies and proven to be safe & effective. It is also cleared by the FDA in the U.S. for use in dermatologic and aesthetic procedures.

2) How many Exilis Elite Body Treatment do I need to see results?

Recommended course of 4-6 sessions with 10 days to 3 weeks apart.

3) What results can I expect? How do the results last?

The patient satisfaction rate is high with circumferential reductions ranging from 4cm to 15cm of volume loss. Expect smoothing of wrinkles, tightening of skin, and contouring of the face and/or body.

The Treatment Process

I was led to the cozy treatment room where the nurse prepared me for the Exilis Elite Body Treatment! :)

And after applying some gel, we’re good to start!!

The nurse used this little device which heats up my arms. The heat has to be evenly distributed to ensure that all the fat in the area receives the same attention.

It was a warm sensation as the little device glided smoothly over my arms. It got hotter and hotter. If it gets too hot, I was asked to tell the nurse who will know what to do.

The fat cell contents are being decomposed into 3 major parts: water, glycerol and fatty acids. Water & glycerol are absorbed by the lymphatic system and urinated out. This is why the nurse will tell you to drink more water after the treatment. The fatty acids will be processed by the liver and converted into energy due to the increased metabolism induced by the RF heat.

The recommended heat range is 38 to 42 degress. I could only take up to 39 degrees! :) I wish I could tolerate more! It differs from person to person and from body part to body part. Some parts of our body have thinner skin and are thereafter able to take less heat. But don’t worry, the nurse will be there in full control of the heat temperature.

Obviously, the hotter the better. :)

Note: Best results are appreciated 2-3 months after a treatment series. They last about 6 months after Exilis treatment. The fat that are burnt will be permanently lost but if you do not maintain a good diet, they will return.
