World’s First tokidoki River Cruise in Singapore

The world’s first tokidoki themed cruise has launched in Singapore! You will now be able to sail down the Singapore River with five never-before-seen, uniquely-Singaporean tokidoki characters. I took my kids for a ride recently and they absolutely loved it. If you’re looking for things to do in Singapore, you should definitely think about adding the tokidoki River Cruise to your list.

The tokidoki river cruise is the first of its kind in the world. From the bow to the stern, the entire boat is completely dressed in tokidoki inspired characters and colour. Just look at how cute the specially designed tokidoki merlion is!

Five Singaporean tokidoki Characters

Debuting for the first time with Water B, Singapore’s newest taxi river operator, these characters hold a special significance to tokidoki Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer, Simone Legno. These characters symbolises his love for Singapore and the people he has met in the past 10 years of visiting the country.

Mr Legno comments, “I’ve always been a fan of Singapore, with its cultural diversity and unmistakable icons that exemplify both modern and traditional elements and treasure the welcoming spirit of all the people! This collaboration with Water B allows us to bring a unique tokidoki experience tailormade for our fans in Singapore.”

Sights to Expect

The 40 minutes scenic tokidoki river cruise will take you through two centuries of heritage, history and change. You’ll experience the core of Singapore’s transformation from sleepy fishing village to modern metropolis. You’ll sail the same routes taken by the bumboat of yesteryear, as they transported their precious cargoes.

Learn the stories and secrets of the Merlion, the heritage of Boat Quay, the intriguingly shaped Esplanade, the towering Marina Bay Sands. You’ll also go through numerous old and new bridges which will delight the young ones. The stories that are shared in this cruise enlightened even the local in me.

The tokidoki river cruise takes you from Clarke Quay all the way to the Marina Reservoir, from the earliest colonial settlements to the ultra-modern Marina Bay area, on the river that gave this country life. #NationalDayPride much!
