I did a very nice ombre hair colour a couple of months ago and then more recently had pink added to my ombre… but to keep it this way takes special effort. Caely at Shunji Matsuo @ 313 Somerset strongly recommended I use the Matrix Biolage Fortethérapie range to keep my hair colour awesome.
1) Biolage Colour Care Shampoo
Everyday shampoo that gently cleanses & strengthens damaged or chemically-treated hair to help restore hair’s vitality and elasticity.
This shampoo was recommended to me to help my coloured hair stay in vibrant and good condition. This comes in a clear liquid and doesn’t foam up much.
If there is one thing I didn’t like about this shampoo, it would be the fact that it doesn’t foam.
But otherwise, I love the scent. My hair colour’s still in great shades… After wash, my hair is soft and manageable.
2) Biolage Delicate Care Conditioner
Helps repair, moisturize and detangle damaged, chemically-treated hair. Leaves hair smooth, soft and shiny.
I have very dry hair and I have to use quite a fair bit of this conditioner so that when I rinse my hair, I can run my fingers through it. At first I disliked it cos it didn’t soften my hair as much as I want it to.
But then, I realised after prolonged use, my coloured hair is still bright and the colour is still locked in even after daily shampoos of about a month.
3) Biolage Deep Smoothing Serum
Controls unruly, frizzy hair while adding shine, and helps protects against heat and humidity.
I love this easy to use serum. I use about a 20cent coin size drop worth and work it into dry hair to tame flyaways. It’s better if you can flatiron your hair after this but I usually don’t have the time to. This serum can also be used on wet hair and then blown dry.
There was once I used too much and it made my hair very oily after a couple of hours. The serum itself is pretty runny and light weight which is what I like. It also has a very nice scent to it.
Try this at least once and see if it works for you. :) Don’t let all the time and money you spent on colouring your hair all get washed off. Take good care of your coloured hair.
I got my Biolage hair care range from Shunji Matsuo @ 313 Somerset. :) Thanks for reading!
