This Is Where We Found Fresh Seafood In Singapore!

This is my first time to Pasarbella! I have been dying to visit but I just haven’t had the time. Well, it is easier to get to than I imagined. There are shuttle buses here which are really convenient. There are a lot of food options at the grandstand. The destination for this food adventure is Oceans of Seafood located inside Pasarbella to try their Vibrancy of Life yusheng.

The Yusheng

The yusheng features a potpourri of premium ingredients such as rock lobster, salmon sashimi and Amberjack sashimi. Lending a crunchy bite are vegetables imported from Japan: red radish, white radish, carrot and more. Unique ingredients such as braised smelt fish, turnip pickles, tobiko and more will also be tossed into the mix. The final ingredient is the opulent gold leaf, which serves as garnish. This gives the yusheng a stunning finish it deserves. A creamy, homemade sauce will pull all the ingredients together.

The yusheng was very fresh and definitely unique. I really like how nicely the sauce went with the yusheng.

And of course, with seafood flown in twice a week directly from Tsujiki Market in Tokyo, it’s as fresh as it can be in Singapore. The owner shared with me that they have a buyer in Tokyo who goes to the market to buy fresh tuna for them and ships it over chilled to Singapore. They also supply the fresh sashimi to some other Japanese restaurants around the area.

Clam Pasta

Oceans of Seafood

Out of all the pastas we ate, I like the Clam Pasta the most. As a general rule of thumb, I don’t fancy much pasta because it’s full of carbs but I really like how generous they were with the clams. They are so big! The Mentaiko Cream Pasta was also quite good too but it can really do with more sauce. :)

Seafood Hotpot

Oceans of Seafood

The Seafood Hotpot (suitable for 3-4 pax, $38) is a good one for cold weathers. It’s packed chockful of Prawns, fish slices, mussels, Alaskan king crab legs, and vegetables. I think this would taste better if it was spicy.

Pacific Oysters

Oceans of Seafood

And then my favourite part of the whole meal, the PACIFIC OYSTERS! Unbelieveably fresh and very well handled. It didn’t have a salty taste of the sea and no sandy bits either. I found myself reaching for more than I would usually eat in one sitting!

Seafood Platter

Oceans of Seafood

The oysters can be ordered ala carte or you can order them as part of Perfect-Two Seafood Platter (suitable for 2 pax). Priced at $66, it consists of 4 pieces of Pacific oysters, Fish Catch of The Day, 6 pieces of prawns, Manila clams and seasonal vegetables.

I’m totally going to go back to eat more seafood at Oceans of Seafood because it’s sooooo fresh! :D <3 <3
