Nathen, our youngest baby in the family, got his baby photography session arranged roughly a week after he was born. We engaged Cottony Photography, the same photographer that took Daniel’s newborn photos 2 years ago.
Her baby photography style is always very simplistic and elegant. Her props are mostly white, brown, grey – earthy colours. I was in confinement during the newborn photography shoot so I was very grateful that she came to our house with her huge luggage of props and had the patience to work with us for the baby photography shoot for 4 hours!
You know how newborns work. They feed, they cry, they poop.. they are their own government with their own set of rules. Haha!

The photos look so serene that one would almost be deceived by how much work went into the process of taking the shot! But I do like how complimentary these photos are with my elder kid, Daniel’s newborn photography photos – you can check out the previous baby photography shoot for Daniel here.
If you ask me whether should you do a baby photography shoot or not, I’d say just do it. In fact, we bought a baby photography package and gifted it to a close friend of ours who just gave birth. In the midst of our busy lives and our kids growing up so quickly, you and I, we’ll all forget how things used to be. Now, 2 months post natal, I cannot imagine how big my tummy was at 38 weeks anymore, but I have the photos from my maternity photoshoot and my own self-taken bump shots to look back on, and I’m thankful.

Hey i got a similar photo of Faye in a flower wreathe like that hah but we went out for the “newborn” shoot this time because I wanted to put her in a fairyland filled with flowers – my friend’s flower shop hhehee
