Murad Hybrids – Cosmetic Treatment Line



Imagine, premium cosmetics and advanced skin treatment technologies in one product. Murad‘s newly launched Hybrids range is exactly that. It conceals your flaws and treats your skin concerns simultaneously!

So last week, I was invited to the launch (check out photos of this event here!) of this new range and man, was I really excited. I told my mum about it and she was like, yea this is a brand that her facial lady recommended her to! And that it’s really good. So I was really excited to know more about their products.

At the launch, we were introduced to these two new products. The Hybrid Eye Lifts and the Hybrid Skin Perfecting Primers.

Hybrid Eye Lifts (Retailing at $59)

Clinically proven to increase skin firmness by 50% in 5 mins while offering long term wrinkle reducing benefits and minimizing under-eye puffiness and darkness (it hydrates and depuffs!) with high performance ingredients.

There are two custom formulas under this range:
Eye Lift Illuminator brightens and restores a youthful look to the eye area with a neutralizing violet formula
Eye Lift Protector is a concealing formula that evens tone and restores a youthful look to the eye area.

To use this, just twist pen until product is dispensed. I use my finger to gently lift the cream and pat it onto my eyelids. I did not apply the pen directly to my lids cos it seemed a little harsh.

Hybrid Skin Perfecting Primers (retailing at $59)

The primer is designed to cover flaws and minimize pores while using light-enhancing minerals to create an overall glow. I can’t recomend this product enough! I have large pores and oily skin. Been battling with this all my life. After discovering Murad, this light formula is excellent for concealing my pores and still give me the glow that only girls with good skin used to have. Since I have oily skin, I used the Matt Finish. 

The matt finish helps balance oil and is ideal for any skin type, but is best for those of us with oily skin because it keeps shine at bay. It is also specially formulated such that one shade will work from us asians, irishes to the africans! That’s because the Adaptive Shade Technology contains light enhancing minerals that are bended with natural skin tones to provide a perfect shade match to any skin colors.

I found my cheek’s pores dramatically minimised right before my eyes. Don’t believe right? Well, go to any of the stores (see below) that sells this and ask for a sample/try it out yourself!

The only thing I don’t like is only perhaps this primer was a little light on coverage of pimples/dark spots (but excellent at concealing pores!) and man, I have heaps of that. So anyway, what I do now is I do my normal skincare routine, put on Murad primer, conceal a bit on the darker spots and then sunblock!
