Life isn't always rosy prior to a holiday!

Excerpt: Mr Lim Guan Eng, party leader of DAP was quoted in the Straits Times yesterday, “We may have no experience in running a government but we have no experience in corruption and abuse of power either! So that’s one up for us.”

Damn bloody zai lor. I think there could be hope! :)

Yes yes, all the newspapers are reporting these couple of days are all about the aftermath of the Malaysian Elections. And with good reason too – so juicy how not to report? Haha!

Anyhow, moving on to what this blog entry is really about – my coming trip to China!

I’m so hyped up about it! Packing’s a bitch. I realised I have nothing to wear! I can hear you going “ah, typical female”, BUT no! Really. I really have nothing to wear to a country with temperatures ranging from 3 to 15 degrees.

Sharks. I think I have to go to some winter clothing shop today. Tonight’s my last night in Singapore before I depart for my 9D8N trip to Beijing and Shanghai.

I’M GOING ON A HOLIDAY HOLIDAY HOLIDAY! I’M GOING TO SWING MY LUGGAGE TROLLEY SIDEWAYS AND MAKE MYSELF A NUISANCE IN THE AIRPORT! I’M GONNE PIG OUT AND HAVE SO MUCH FUN THAT I THINK I SHOULD JUST STAY THERE! WHEE!!

It’s a free and easy tour and I planned the itinerary – with much pain and time spent on research on the internet. I shall not be selfish and share it with you all here! :D Here’s a rough itinerary…

Day 1:
Arrive at Beijing and check in to hotel. Sightseeing at Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Dinner to be at the very famous Quan Ju De Roast Duck Restaurant!

Day 2:
Conquer the Great Wall of China and the Ming Tombs. Lots of China history to be absorbed on Day 2!

Day 3:
Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace and the Drum Tower. I actually hate going to temples. But I always end up having to go with people who love temples. *BORING* But okay fine, this is a trip to sightseeing and learn more about China, SO, I will just go.

Day 4:
I think I’ll do a little rickshaw tour round the Hutongs and then shopping at Xiu Shui Jie at night.

Day 5:
I’m not too sure what to do on Day 5. I’m looking at going to the Zoo (siao right!!), the Fragrant Hill, National Park and Asian Games Village.

After this, it will be kickass shopping all over again!

Day 6:
Finally Shanghai! I’ll meet my sister and go shopping like crazy. Whole day yup.

Day 7:
Sight-seeing in Shanghai. The Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower and other must-sees in Central Shanghai.

Day 8:
Day trip to Suzhou! This will be like a see garden, pond, river, whatever kind of day trip. =) More of China! Not bad!

Day 9:
Flights from Shanghai to Beijing to Singapore.
Sigh. Back to the shit at work again.

I don’t know how good my itinerary is man. I should actually do a day trip to a nearby city in Beijing as well… but we’ll see. I’ll have internet access in China, so, nobody will miss me for long!

P.s.: Any advise about my above itinerary would be much appreciated!! :D
