One Saturday, I decided to be adventurous and scout out a cafe that’s a little less known. L’etoile Cafe is a quiet little cafe tucked away along Owen Road (nearest MRT is Farrer Park). You really wouldn’t expect to find a cafe in these areas but here it is.
L’etoile Cafe is a very quaint and homely cafe. It has 2 floors. First floor as seen below.
And second floor is a more cozy area with random sized chairs and sofas – unfortunately no pictures! :(
It is very comfortable and definitely the place if you wanted to meet up and have a long chit chat with friends. This place was designed for cozy, long meetups!
The food is not too bad either!
I really like the Beef Sandwich (S$12.90) I ordered. Served between toasted Focaccia bread, the grilled beef patty was really good! Came with a side of fries (which were surprisingly good) & some greens. I really liked this. Would definitely order it again.
The other thing we ordered was the Big Breakfast S($14.90) which was a hearty meal of toast, potatoes, mushroom, bacon, sausages, egg and a side of greens.
It was very filling. I liked the sausages and mushrooms here the best. But well, I don’t think I will order this again. It wasn’t something unique or something I’ll be back for.
We were here on a Sunday afternoon at 2.30pm and it was a lovely day to chill out with a cuppa coffee. I only wished we had time to do that. Maybe next time! :)
