Home Based Nail Salon

Gelish nails are all the rave right now. Gone are the days when you spend 1 hour in the salon and come out with pretty nails that take forever to dry and 1 week to start chipping.

I just did my first gelish nail with fancy fancy designs at a home salon based in Anchorvale, Sengkang last weekend. It’s such a gem of a secret that I have to share with you! :)

This is also my first time to a home based nail salon. I wasn’t sure what kind of setting to expect. Would it be… erm.. run down or like going to a friend’s house…etc.

The one I went to is called Nails Etcetera.

It was everything I didn’t expect. It was a fully equipped corner with everything a professional would use. Priscilla, the owner has been doing this for 2 years.

It was fully airconditioned with a little fan blowing at you too if the air con is not good enough.

I had TV to watch and nail magazines to flip through. My 2 hours there just flew by.

Priscilla had a lot of work to do on my nails. :/ I had a lot of cuticles growing out crazily and my cuticles were all super dry as well. Grrrr. Poor nail care on my part.

So she did a full manicure, and then we discussed nail designs and then, the painting begun!

Here’s some of the great work she has done before. It’s really pretty!

And THE FINAL OUTCOME?

Gelish Nails with Priscilla Nails etcetera

Yup, these are my nails. Doesn’t look like it could be mine right?! So nice!!! Aiya this pic don’t show a little ribbon that’s on my thumb. Pris carefully crafted that out from water and powder! Holy macaroons!

See the nail with a lot of glitter? See mixed 2 different colours of glitter before putting it on – talk about dedication. The diamondy ribbon is glittering so prettily here too. First time I ever had stick-on decor on my nails!

She also does a lot of nice bridal nail designs which you definitely should consider if you’re getting married! :)

Nail Care Tips:

Pris is really knowledgeable about nails. It shows her passion when she gave me tips on how to take care of my gelish afterward.

❤ On the top and side of the nails: There will be some gelish buildup as my nails grow out, so all I have to do is just use the nail file she gave me to file it gently (one-direction) away.

❤ When the ribbon stick on drops off which it will after 1 week plus or more, to gently file the residual glue away.

❤ Use the China Glaze cuticle care, which she gave me, regularly to improve my sad dry cuticle condition.

Thank you Pris! :)
