What’s it made of?

The Koreans call it “Designer Water” – the core of the new Water Bank series. It contains a golden ratio of skin-friendly minerals which is delicately distilled and balanced to achieve optimal efficacy.

What it does is:

  • Increased rate of skin regeneration
  • Fortitfies damaged skin cells
  • Restore skin to a plump, healthy condition

Complementing the “Designer Water”, are the Hydro Holder and Hydro Activator. The Hydro Holder consists of essential amino acids that strengthens the skin cells’ ability to absorb and withhold moisture. The Hydro Activator contains Glasswort Extracts that renew and support Aquaporin 8, a water channel protein, enabling moisture to be effectively and evenly siphoned to each and every skin cell.

A seamless marriage of these 3 essential ingredients in the Water Bank series helps to keep your skin moisturised for up to 24 hours!

What’s in the Water Bank Series?

The revitalised Water Bank Series from Laneige comprises of:

  1. Water Bank Essence
  2. Water Bank Gel Cream
  3. Water Bank Moisture Cream
  4. Water Bank Intensive Cream
  5. Water Bank Double Moisture Mask

Laneige is a reputable skincare brand in Korea and I have heard many good reviews about their products though I have not tried any so I’m glad to be given this opportunity to try this. The Water Bank Series is great for younger skin (aged between 20 to 25) and provides intensive hydration for soft and supple skin.

I’ll start reviewing the one that I am most fond of. :)

1) Water Bank Essence.

I LOVE this product – how it smells and how it feels… It has a very light texture, not sticky or thick and once applied, it sinks RIGHT into your skin. Put this on at night and wake up with soft, supple skin. :) And I’ve always been fond of products that have a light fragrance to it and although I can’t describe the fragrance of this product, but it’s definitely something very soothing and refreshing. Retailing at $65.00.

This is the first time I am trying out products from this brand and I think I’m liking it very much :)

2) Water Bank Gel Cream

Light-weight and hydrating. These would be 2 words I’d use to describe this product. I have combination-oily skin and this is good for my skin. I don’t have to apply heaps and my skin does not feel oily/look shiny after application. Just like the essence, it smells really good! Retailing at $52.00.

3) Water Bank Sleeping Mask

I’m a fan of DIY masks. Masks that come in a pack and all I have to do is tie off and fit on face or leave on masks like Laneige’s Water Bank Sleeping Mask. I like how easy it is that all I have to do to pamper my face is to apply something on it, and sleep. :P

The mask is very easy to apply. I do this once a week before sleeping. Just like I do, you will notice your skin is brighter and more hydrated when you wake up – though your face looks oily but that’s just the mask sitting on top of your face cos the downside of this mask is that it doesn’t get absorbed into your face easily. I have just started using this so while the immediate effects are evident, I’ll have to wait and see if there’ll be long-lasting benefits to using this product. :)

Oh yeh and by the way, the colour of the Water Bank Series is so pretty – opaque blue. :P

I super love the essence too! It keeps my skin hydrated and doesn’t produce that much oil in the day.
