A new product came to my attention recently. It’s about how hot Singapore is and that results in shine and pore blockage, which leads to enlarged pores, and pimples. A skincare problem that has always been a bigger concern to me than whitening.
Most of the products I choose to use tend to have an oil control and pore minimising component to it – because these are my main concerns.
Don’t know if you have heard of Neogence, but it is a renowned lab-dermatological brand which has recently launched a new Pore Solution Series is all about improving the skin (zero pores!) and removing the oily sheen problem.
Say whattttt confirm must try!
First in the line of product is the MINERAL MICRO-SCRUB EXFOLIATING CREAM.
It contains fine micro-scrub particles which gives pores a deep cleansing, leaving skin radiant. It is called a cream but it’s like a scrub which can be used with or without water, twice a week. And yes, after using, you need to rinse it off with water. See below:
Good thing about this is that it doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight and dry. It does give a glow to my skin after wash. Exfoliaters usually have visible little beads but these are almost invisible! How interesting.
Next, I’d use a toner before applying the EXTREME PORE-REDUCING SERUM has 3 functions: Oil control+ Rebuilding + Reducing, Pores and Smoothing Skin. Super love the LARCYL® which diminishes and tightens pores.
There’s also a special care serum called EXTREMELY OFF-HEADS SERUM which has a pore purifying formula that cleans and removes acnes. It contains acids that dissolves acne, and maintains sebum excretion. To apply on areas with acne (for me, that would be nose and cheek areas).
How I use it:
I usually use Panasonic’s Pore Cleanser to extract all the impurities. The white head, black heads, etc etc, everything, OUT!
And then I use a toner after my pores are enlarged, and then apply the pore-reducing serum to reduce the generous amounts of oil (:() that my face produces and to also close the pores up.
The left pic is a pic of my pores after I cleaned them. I use the Neogence pore-reducing serum right after that and it calms my skin down and closes up my pores to the pic on the right. Do note that my usual pore size is the one on the right while the one on the left is the aggravated one (cos I did intensive cleaning).
I love the oil-free formula of Neogence. My pores are noticeably cleaner (less of the nasty black dots or the white heads) over time. Oh and I also noticed that my nose area is also less oily!
