GLOW as a diet supplement

I started taking GLOW as a diet supplement since Feb 1. It’s been about 3 weeks now.

Here’s what my routine is like:

Before my 3 meals a day, I took a GLOW pill 30 mins before food. This 30 mins turns out to be more important than I thought. Taking the GLOW pill 30mins before helps make me fill fuller. Sometimes it’s difficult to keep to this but it’s real important to do so so that the capsule will melt and line your tummy.

I have also started eating more regularly, balanced meals each time. And making cleaner diet choices like cutting processed foods, sugared drinks and other unnecessary sugars, fats from my diet. Chocolate is like a huge weakness of mine, especially since as I type this now, I really want to reach out to the Ferrero Rochers that are too close within reach. As part of the GLOW challenge to lose weight in the month of Feb, I have to keep telling myself to follow the balanced diet plan that GLOW’s in-house nutritionist planned for me.

Here’s the plan I’ve been trying to follow:

Meal

Details

Breakfast Plain Yoghurt with fresh fruit + cereal/granola
OR
Low Fat, High Calcium Milk + cereal/granola
Mid-morning I don’t usually eat anything mid-morning
Lunch Half the usual portion of rice, 1 serving of protein and 2 servings of vegetables (Mixed Rice)
OR
Fresh Fish Noodle with White Noodle
Mid-day 1 serving of fruit (usually apple)
Dinner Half the usual portion of rice, 1 serving of protein and 2 servings of vegetables
(Usually it’s more difficult to keep to this during dinner! :()
Post-dinner 1 serving of fruit (usually guava)

The major challenges are definitely controlling the snacking and taking in the right portions. And the festive CNY period of feasting!

And yet, as I eat more regular meals, I am eating more and with the regular intake of GLOW, I am actually still losing weight at a slow but very steady pace! (~0.4kg per week). I believe that’s due to my body’s increased metabolism thanks to GLOW, the regular workout sessions and good diet choices. Losing ~0.4kg per week may not be alot for some but for me, this is amazing progress. :)

Since 7th Dec, I have lost 2KG! That’s a lot considering I went to US for 2 weeks in Jan, and had irregular diet, and started on GLOW and a balanced diet & regular exercise all throughout the most festive months of the year, Dec and Feb.
