Foodpanda.sg Review

I’m sure everyone has heard of Foodpanda, the 24h food delivery service in Singapore.

I am always choosing the easy way of ordering food – KFC, MCDs or Pizza Hut. But Foodpanda opens up such a wide variety of restaurants for delivery!!

There’s Pastamania, Kebab and curries, Khansama Tandoori restaurant, Banana leaf, Sakae Sushi delivery, Nihon Mura, What to eat, Sakunthala, Sarpinos Tampines, Copper Chimney, The Yangs, The Orange Lantern, BarBQ Tonight, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, Veganburg, Hui Wei, Brinda´s, Yoshinoya, Yoshinaya Parkway Parade, Bokhara Biryani Kebab, Yum Cha Express Chinatown, Hei Sushi, Wingstop, Kinara, Char Grill Bar, Crosta Pizza, Urban Bites, Marina Bay, Fifth season, Indian Curry house, Delhi 6, Western Food Singapore Clementi, Sarpinos Jurong East, The Curry Hut, Kinara Authentic, Canadian Pizza West Coast and many many more!

One of these days I am totally going to try ordering from one of the briyani and kebab restaurants they have. For today, we had our house window grilles just installed and had to stay home all day to watch the men work.

I went to Foodpanda.sg and checked out my options.

The husband was in the mood for Pizzas even though I was so tempted to order the usually less obvious options. Oh well from the pizza options, I decided to order from Sarpinos! Once, a very long time ago, I wanted to order from them but they didn’t deliver to my area. Good thing I found them on Foodpanda! Worth a try, that’s after I tried so hard to convince myself out of ordering Mad For Garlic. Can’t believe Mad For Garlic also does deliveries!!!

Sarpinos had pictures for every item on their menu which was very useful. Not every restaurant had it though. Perhaps Foodpanda can look into providing pictures for every item on the menu to help facilitate ordering! :)

I really like how easy it is to use the site. The homepage immediately prompts for your postal code to show you only options that deliver to your area. I mean, no point showing you options that are not available to you right?

Then the number of clicks it takes to check me out is FOUR only!

Enter postal code > choose restaurant > add item to cart > check out

I could choose between paying with paypal, credit card or cash on delivery. I chose paypal and there was some problem with my account. I had to resolve that and while I was trying to retrieve my order to pay, Foodpanda customer service actually called me to tell me that Sarpinos is unable to confirm my order because I didn’t pay. She asked if I needed help.

OMG? Can I just say how impressed I was?! Even my husband who was seated opposite me was impressed by the call!

The customer service was prompt and very helpful! I wish I gotten her name to give her credit!

After my order was placed successfully, I got an email and a SMS to inform me of the successful order.

10 mins later, the same lady from Foodpanda called me and informed me that my order will arrive in 1 hour.

DAMN IMPRESSED PLEASE.

1 hour later Sarpino’s delivery guy arrived. Passed me all the pizzas, thanked me and left. So efficient!

Foodpanda can be accessed via web and their mobile app for android users. :)

Thank you for sponsoring me credits for my very first order with Foodpanda.sg. It was a great experience!

I may have been sponsored with credits for my order but the contents of this blogpost are of my own and did not undergo any vetting by Foodpanda.
