Exciting new makeup from Dejavu!

I love having new makeup toys! :)

First up, here are the base makeup items from Dejavu:

1) Dejavu Mini Pact S$25

In a pretty pink shiny compact case, Dejavu’s Mini Pact is thus named because it is specially formulated to blend into and cover up unevenness and dark spots where makeup has faded. I haven’t tried it but will do so and put up a more detailed review soon. First look, love the compact size, and the SPF31 in it. We need optimal sun protection and really, applying SPF in the mornings is just not enough.

I don’t like that there is no clear separator between the puff and the powder. I’d usually prefer a separator to keep it clean. The puff is actually quite special too. The secret to a clear finish is to lightly tap the marshmallow puff on your skin and not slide it. I’ll be sure to follow this tip when I do try this! :)

2) Dejavu Control Serum S$18

This is like a primer for your whole face. What I love about this is that it is more watery than other primers which makes it super easy to spread all over. As seen above, the texture is gel-like and absorbs excess skin oils and prevents makeup run and stickiness.

What’s more it’s effective as a skincare product too as prolonged use over time prevents the need for cosmetic touch-ups. This is the first thing you apply in your makeup routine. And should be used even at night as well! My face is super oily so this would be quite perfect. Can’t wait to try this out.

3) Dejavu Lash Serum S$25

This reminds me of the Talika Lipcolis mascara where it also conditions your lashes to make it grow. A cheaper alternative definitely

4) Fiberwig EXTRA LONG Mascara S$25

I am totally sold on these two products though I haven’t tried it. If you scroll below you can see the before and after photo of a model who had all these Dejavu products used on her. Fiberwig EXTRA LONG Mascara is also known as paint-on falsies cos you can really keep layering it on to make it as long as you want it to be!

Tip: Wait for one layer to draw before putting on another layer.

5) Dejavu Perfect Liner S$19

I have been using this and I got to say at first try I was pleased with the sharp tip and the great consistent flow of liner liquid. But later on I found the tip a little too hard for the delicate eye area. The hard tip made it super easy to be very very precise with sharp, thin lines. See above, very small thin letter drawn on my hand. It takes a little bit of getting used to but once you got it, and learn how to tilt the pen accordingly to make drawing a pleasure, this is a great eye liner. I would recommend this! :)

6) Dejavu Lasting-fine eyeliner

Gives highly defined eyes all day long with silicone fixative that provides super holding power (resists oil, perspiration and tears for a long-wearing rub-resistant finish). Lines can be touched up and/or softened before the fixative dries.

This lasting-fine liner comes in the form of a soft pencil lead head which means no need for sharpening but it also means that it’s soft and might break easily if you are not careful. And besides I am a liquid liner girl! :P I did try on this and found it better for my lower eyelids and the liquid liner to be better for my upper lids. :)

This comes in three colours so you can choose how intense / natural you want to make your eyes. :)
