Ombre Hair Dye at Shunji Matsuo @ 313 Somerset

Did you know that Shunji Matsuo @ 313 Somerset is the place to go for ombre hair dye cos they are like the salon that possibly did the most of such styles?

Their ombre hair colour techniques and attention to detail is right up there!

Did you know that if you bleach your hair + dye and then if you go back to dye again within 3 weeks, the colour will last longer? I didn’t know that!

Anyway just to share, I went in to get my my colours dyed in again. Instead of the previous orange and red, I’m updating it with pink and violet-red.

Since I had a whole afternoon clear as well, I did a Matrix Hair Treatment as well. It’s basically the use of two products (Matrix spa cream with apricot oil and Matrix biolage exquisite oil) combined and steamed on my hair for like 20mins or so.

My friends ask me how come I do stuff to my hair so often but my hair isn’t dry and damaged as one would expect it to be. Well that’s because I use a great home care shampoo and conditioner, hair mask and I have a great stylist who’ll never let me bleach or colour or perm unless she knows my hair can take it. Plus I get my hair treated every time I do a chemical treatment with them! ;)

I arrived at the salon at 12.45pm and left at 3pm. Good leisurely afternoon :p

Oh yes and the counter girl is so sweet too. I was real hungry and she offered to help me order food from Dolce Tokyo which is just next door. :)

And Caely got the blowdry style I want to a T man. I said I want curls at the end. Very big and very loose and not too much. This is what I got. It’s perfect! :)

She also said that I can perm this way next time when I come by. YAY! :) I can’t wait! I always thought hairstyles like these can only be done by blowdry! Such great news.

Update

Shunji Matsuo at 313Somerset has permanently closed. Their lead stylist, Caely Tham, has moved over to LeeKaJa, located at Mandarin Gallery. I now go to Caely at LeeKaJa for hair services.

Check out my experiences with Caely Tham at LeeKaJa here! Plus, there is this crazy good, and very popular hair treatment called the LeeKaJa Cinderalla hair treatment that will make you hair look naturally soft and straight. You must check it out here.

Check out other hair colours I’ve done with Caely Tham; maybe you’d find some colour inspiration for your next visit to the hair salon!
