DHC Range of Cleansers

Hilow! I thought I’ll sit down one weekend and bang out a post on DHC’s range of cleansers! Don’t know about you, but I didn’t even know DHC had that many cleansers (let alone more than 1 type)!

It was a good thing DHC extended an invitation to me down to a bloggers’ event the other day to introduce their products to us all. Anyway, let’s dive right into the stars of today’s products.

From L to R: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, DHC Make Off Sheet and DHC Washing Powder.

The Deep Cleansing Oil ($43, 200ml) is a botanical cleansing oil tha gently protects skin while effectively dissolving makeup, dirt and unclogging pores, revealing radiant skin.

It is oil based so I passed that to my bestie to try out since she has dry skin and she loves it. It removes waterproof makeup very very well. See above. That was rubbed off gently with just the oil and no water yet.

Do be careful to clean off the cleanser from your face properly after use! :)

As for me? I have oily skin, but that’s ok. I can use most cleansers, just not those that are oil-based.

Super excited to see a powdered form of facial cleanser from DHC. The DHC Washing Powder (S$22.90, 50g) is a plant-based formula that is gentle on dry skin and effectively removes dead skin and dirt.

This is like only the second time I have come across this powdered version. I often use it on short travels where I don’t buy luggage and just bring a carry on with me. Don’t be deceived by the name “washing” powder. It’s not for your clothes. Haha! It’s for your face. I know cos I double checked.

This did not have much foam (very light foam) but it cleansed fairly well. I did not test with eye makeup removal as I usually use a separate eye makeup remover.

DHC Make Off Sheets (S$17.50, 50 sheets) are simple and easy to use. Just open, wipe and ta-dah! It’s a super handy cleansing sheet that cleanses dirt and sebum from pores while removing makeup with just a gentle wipe. It’s 100% cotton which makes it soft to the touch.

I have started to use this as a first step of removing makeup. See above picture, that’s all the makeup I had on for just a “simple” Sunday look with masacara, eyeliner, lippie and loose powder. One sheet did the job.

This is great for removing base makeup and lipsticks. Not the best for waterproof mascara IMHO, but that’s ok, I always prefer using a remover that’s catered specially for eye makeup anyway! Oh and when you use this, it’s best you press the sheet lightly against the skin for like 10-15 seconds to better removal instead of tugging. Don’t tug skin! :)
