Wall Decals!

I was talking to my mom about my plans for the HDB flat and my brother comes over. Bro: Aiya, what can you do to a small HDB flat? No need to discuss lah. Me: -.- So, I’m amazed with what I’ve been blind to all these years. All the inventions, all the thoughts put to designing items for the house has gone well beyond what I could imagine. Like remote controlled lightings (perfect for lazy people like me!), and…

House-hunting update

My mom has finally agreed on supporting me in my decision to buy a house. What a great relief. Now, I can really tell agents that I can commit. I’ve found a place I am ready to commit to so YAY #1. I’ve found the right bank to loan from, so YAY #2 Now, it will be to see if the negotiation for the house comes through. Will the seller agree to my asking price? =/

Reversed Seats for the Privileged?

Kiss my ass. Before I begin my rant, I do want to tell you that I do consider myself a considerate person, one who cares for the elderly, handicapped, pregnant, those with small kids and those with nonsense for kids on the MRT. I do give my seat to them if I deem that they need the seat more than I do. Subjective.  What I do not do (when I am seated at the normal seat – not priority seat),…

An introduction to the "unspoken" rules on the SG MRT (2)

… continued from PART ONE! #4: Meeting and beating the group party (I know it kinda seems I am overusing this diagram but once again, I stress, it’s REALLY all encompassing!) People discussed: Dev, Tay & DaveSeat in question: G Groups. I hate them and love them. When I am not part of their group, they occupy such massive space and talk so loudy. I really rather not hear about your plans and strategies for work or how last night’s…

An introduction to the "unspoken" rules on the SG MRT

Ok as promised, here goes! I am sick of PEOPLE who obviously knows the “unspoken” rules of taking the MRT in Singapore but purposely ignore it. And because I take a lot of the trains in the North-East Line which passes by Little India and Farrer Park where a larger proportion of the foreign indian workers populate, I get even more people who act like they don’t know they are “snatching” my seat! Not only indians ok! All races!! Chinese…

SUPER ANGRY

Wah I tell you ah!! I am damn angry with someone named IDIOT in the MRT!! I got to tell you about it! Scene #1: I am in the North-East Line MRT on my way to work. As you can see, there’s ME standing by the pole (I chose that spot because I made a calculated guess that Occupied Seat on the bottom 2nd from left will be empty very soon). All the seats are filled at this moment –…

Vrroooommm!!

Guess who was so lucky to get to go see the first ever Singapore-hosted Formula One Night Race for free? That’s right! Me!!!!!!!!!!!! Aiyah I know a lot of other people went also lah! But but, I went for free! So here I was, uninterested about the whole F1 hoo-ha. Unwilling to be swept along with the building excitement evident in everyone around me as the weekend closed in. And then Friday night, Mao Mao called and said he got…
