BFF Challenge: Are you eating well, Ju Ann?

It’s 2 weeks into my GLOW BFF Challenge. I haven’t lost much weight but I have gained muscle mass and lost fat. That’s a good start. I feel better and my bowls have been more regular. That’s probably because I’ve been taking heed of our nutritionist’s advice on Low GI, High Fiber, & Low Fat foods.

I also am looking forward and feel more motivated in getting my lazy ass out of office and hurrying down to meet Sederick, our personal trainer, and my other comrades in the GLOW BFF Challenge. It’s tough when I finish work at 6.30pm and have to rush through evening traffic to GLOW’s office at Niven Road. But I find it easier to make my way there with every session.

Rachel, our nutritionist came by this week to help us evaluate what we have eaten all week. I’ve been good except for the Mala Steamboat I had the other day (I ate mostly veg and chicken but drank the soup which was oily).William had carbonara pasta which is not that good considering it’s cream based.

We also were advised to avoid fried foods and stick to healthier cooking methods like boil, broil, steam, grill and so on.

In fact, I once thought yoghurt with cereal is GROSS but after I tried it, I am addicted! It’s so good, even when I use plain, low-fat yoghurt! I spice it up with a fruit like Kiwi or Apple. So yums!

After my first meetup with Rachel, I was really eager to get started and went grocery shopping. Check out all the goodies I bought! :)

Rachel was super nice to also give us tips on how to survive the festive season. Here are some that she shared:

♥ Eat something before going to a party so you won’t be as tempted to devour everything yummy!
♥ Avoid beer at all costs! Go for wine or hard liquor but if you can just avoid it all altogether, all the better.
♥ Fruit punch is full of sugar and extremely bad. AVOID!
♥ Eat in moderation :)
♥ Take GLOW regularly!

Pray I survive this festive season without overeating!
