Best Ramen in Singapore

The BF and I love Ramen a lot. In a country like Singapore where Japanese food is so popular, it isn’t hard to find Ramen everywhere you go. But really really good ramen?

Here’s a list you should try! Oh wait, here’s a tip: I always try the NORMAL/BEST SELLER ramen (one that is defined as normal/best seller at their store). :) Hardly go wrong!

1) Keisuke Tonkotsu King | Orchid Hotel, Tanjong Pagar | Japanese Ramen

If you really like Ramen and want v good ramen, this is a MUST-TRY.

One of the best ramen in Singapore, in my opinion la~ But this is a very small stall with limited space and you can only queue, sit, eat and leave. Cos there will always be a long queue and you can’t sit and chit chat.

I have been here twice within 2 months and I always get the original and less salty. The soup is soooo good and you can actually see the soft bones in the Tonkotsu soup! But that’s not all. They give you free flow eggs and seasoned bean sprouts. The bean sprouts are SUPERB and are free-flow. The BF and I finish 1 whole jar of it every time we go! I am already salivating as I write this! Hurry go try if you haven’t! My detailed review with pictures here.

2) Menya Musashi | Raffles City Shopping Centre | Japanese Ramen

The latest Ramen outlet in town is the famous Menya Musashi that hails all the way from Tokyo. We were there for dinner on a Saturday evening and waited only 15 mins before we got our food. That includes queue’ing – yeh there was a queue. It seems to be the trend now. As long as a Ramen store has a long queue + you get served fast and eat fast = recipe for success/tell-tale signs of a yummy Ramen store.

I tried the White Ramen with Cha Shu and the Black Ramen with XX. Both were nice though I do think Keisuke Tonkotsu King at Orchid Hotel is slightly better.

We paid $40 for 2 persons who shared one side dish, 2 tea and 2 Ramen.

3) Ippudo Singapore | Mandarin Gallery | Japanese Ramen

Another of Japan’s top ramen shops in Singapore, Ippudo at Mandarin Gallery is another Ramen joint with long queues during lunch and dinner.

The founder of Ippudo, Shigemi Kawahara, is known as the Ramen King after three consecutive first place wins on a nationwide ramen-making competition where the top ramen chefs compete to create the best ramen.

I have been here a couple of times and again, this is another queue, get served super fast and eat and leave. The noodle here is the best of all Ramen joints on this list. They allow you to choose between soft, normal or hard. I chose normal. Try it!

There is no doubt these 3 are Singapore’s best Ramen joints! My ramen cravings are always satisfied!
