If you’re looking for recommendations on where’s good for Korean BBQ in Singapore, you’ve come to the right place.

Wang Dae Bak has 2 outlets (Amoy Street & Cross Street) and is highly popular among the Koreans i Singapore. I know cos I work with many of them.

In fact, it was my Korean colleagues who first brought me to this place.

So yes, that’s how a Korean BBQ looks like. Convenient exhaust pipes hanging down from the ceilings to suck all the BBQ smoke right off the grill. On the bottom left of the image above shows Wang Dae Bak’s very very nice Kimchi Soup. Really surprisingly good.

Picture above, we see the yellow liquid lining the grill. That’s egg! And it’s complimentary free-flow! Just press the bell on your table to order once you finish. The egg was simple and very very nice. I wonder what they put in it.

Ooooo, you also see a shot above of the raw pork that’s served. The Koreans grill the whole slab and then cut it into smaller pieces when it’s almost cooked.

More FOODS!!!

Up above, lean pork on grill and raw marinated chicken (the non marinated version is nicer!)

These in the above are like must-orders! The Seafood Pancake is DAMN GOOD. Must TRY. The others you see are complimentary free-flow side dishes. So generous of them! Tea is also free-flow complimentary. There were 3 of us eating and we ordered 2 servings of meat (one pork and one chicken S$18 each), and seafood pancake S$18. The bill came up to be SGD60+. The great thing was, we had so many complimentary sides that we were really very full!

The service was pretty darn impressive too okay!! There’s this bell on every table. If you need service, just press and within 1 minute, someone will be at your table to serve you. It’s amazing. We pressed so many times (unintentionally, we really needed refills here and there) and yet their staff kept coming with a big smile and an obvious eagerness to serve. Too awesome. Even if the food was mediocre, the service would have been worth coming back for.

They also had a sign that said if we needed a hairtie, frebreeze, charger, driver, etc, we could also ask them for it. Hello, WAY COOL can.

So to conclude, there are 2 reasons why I am recommending this place.

1) GREAT FOOD
2) GREAT SERVICE

You just don’t get enough of good places like this in Singapore.

I have been to the one at Amoy and the one at China Square Central. I personally prefer the one at China Square Central – more spacious! :)
