So recently I went to Passage New York for a little treat. Did a facial and a body massage.
Passage New York offers a whole range of signature facial and body treats services, ranging from few signature facial treatments, eye and neck treatments, body massages, slimming and firming treatments.
A few days ago, the countergirl at Elizabeth Arden asked when I last did a facial because she noticed a lot of congestion in my pores which will ultimately lead to a pimple if I don’t take care of it. I really don’t have time even though I do have a facial package somewhere else.
Between blogging, working a demanding full time job, dating and pursuing my own hobbies, I really have very little time for myself. So it’s a good thing I craved out some special “ME” time and headed to PassageNew York for some pampering.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
And pampering begun from the moment I saw the entrance! Wow. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this sure exceeded my expectations.
It looked like the entrance to a hotel!
GREAT AMBIENCE & UTTER SERENITY
I walked in and was quickly signed in and brought to a consultation room. It was quite a walk from the reception. It didn’t look that big but girl, they had like a generous space area of over 8,000 square feet covering two floors with 23 rooms. I was lead to the lower floor and the consultant settled me in with some nice warm tea and asked about my skin condition.
Yes, yes I have been a bad bad girl, not going to facial for like 6 months (maybe more). To give her credit, she did not gasp in shock. Haha!
She recommended that I go for their Premium Intensive Facial because my skin had a lot of white heads and congested pores. This facial is suitable for very sensitive, congested acne prone and problem skin.
They have about 9 different facials but don’t worry if you can’t choose. The consultant will be able to advise you accordingly.
Even the toilet oozes serenity.
FACIALS, A GREAT WAY TO PAMPER YOUR FACE
So I was brought to my first treatment room for the facial. The therapist told me that cleansing might just be one of the most important steps of skincare. Cleansing well will help to clean your pores and allow your skin to better enhance all the skincare steps that follow thereafter.
She was really gentle in removing my waterproof mascara and eyeliner. She used a cream-based remover for my face and then a gel-based one.
Made my skin really clean but not one bit dry.
The next step was extraction. I was all prepared for this. I was prepared for some hardcore extraction. But it was all very gentle and controlled. She was also very detailed, removing even the very small ones.
Next they used a device that zapped the bacteria off my face before applying a hydrating ampoule and a clear ampoule for my oily and congested skin.
The double mask that followed was really soothing.
AND THEN I ENJOYED A GREAT MASSAGE…
Indulgent. Soothing, Relaxing.
It was everything you could ask for. The service was top-notch, making the whole experience very indulgent. My masseur was very polite and made me feel very comfortable throughout the massage even though I was topless.
All I heard throughout the massage was the silent birdsong that was playing throughout in the background. Completely soothing.
It was an aromatherapy massage that I had. She kneaded lavender-fragranced oil into my body and coaxed my tense shoulders into max relaxation mode.

If I had come earlier, I would have been able to use this jacuzzi! All their customers get to use this if they were here for an appointment!

My experience with Passage New York was like an escape into nirvana, amidst the busy CBD no less. In my two hours there, I only saw my consultant, facial therapist, and masseur and nobody else. It was quiet and peaceful.
